Pre-BASEL 2013: Jaquet Droz Petite Heure Minute 35 mm
For the first time, Jaquet Droz introduces a ladies watch in stainless steel. The Petite Heure Minute 35 mm pairs stainless steel with a dark blue mother-of-pearl dial and a scattering of stars. The mother-of-pearl is delicately worked and cut into a single disc of light-catching hues that change with each movement of the wrist, from royal blue, ultramarine, cobalt or indigo. The eight stars are a signature of the brand and are applied across the dial like a night sky. The bezel is embellished with 160 diamonds.
The design of the asymmetrical, integrated steel bracelet presented Jaquet Droz with both a technical and aesthetic challenge. The different sized links blend into a single line that encircles the wrist. Two diamonds are embellished into a bracelet link as a subtle nod to the Jaquet Droz logo.
The Petite Heure Minute 35 mm is the newest addition to the Élégance Paris collection. The timepiece is housed with the Jaquet Droz 2653 self-winding mechanical movement with a 68-hour power reserve.
