ahci_updates The independent watchmaker Ludovic Ballouard will participate in the Masters of Horology, where he will demonstrate some of his unique inventions.
After starting his career at Franck Muller, Ludovic Ballouard kept refining his watchmaking skills while working for the F.P. Journe brand, for which he worked for seven years. Ludovic was responsible for assembling the outstanding and extremely complicated Sonnerie Souveraine. In 2012 Ludovic was asked, by Harry Winston, to create OPUS XIII for BaselWorld 2013, and so he spent less than a year (barely sleeping) and created another mechanical marvel.
In 2009 Ludovic opened an atelier of his own and dedicated himself fully to making his own watches, since he was always inspired by the ideas behind eccentric complications. He started working on his first piece, the Upside Down.
In essence the way the Upside Down works is that all numerals are displayed upside down except the present hour, which is displayed the right way up, and all numerals are each set on their own discs on the dial independent of the other numerals. Once the minute hand reaches a full hour the past hour numeral instantly turns 180 degrees upside down while the present hour turns the right side up along with a dot that appears next to the hour making it even easier for you tell which numeral is the right side up thus enabling you to read time with ease. The way time is presented in the Upside Down should remind you how important it is to live in the moment.

In sostanza, il modo in cui funziona il capovolto è che tutti i numeri sono visualizzati al contrario tranne l'ora presente, che viene visualizzata nel modo giusto verso l'alto, e tutti i numeri sono impostati su dischi propri sul quadrante indipendentemente dagli altri numeri. Una volta che la mano minuta raggiunge un'ora piena, il numero dell'ora passata si capovolge istantaneamente di 180 gradi mentre l'ora presente gira il lato destro in alto insieme a un puntino che appare accanto all'ora rendendola ancora più facile per te dire qual è il numero giusto in alto permettendoti di leggere il tempo con facilità. Il modo in cui il tempo viene presentato nel Sottosopra dovrebbe ricordarti quanto sia importante vivere il momento.
