Admiral's Cup Seafender 48 DEEP DIVE

With an impressive water-resistance of 1'000 meters, the new Admiral's Cup Seafender 48 Deep Dive is the latest newcomer to CORUM's Extreme line of divers watches. Its helium escape valve, its secure rotational divers bezel and its hyper-luminescent hour-markers and hands make this an imposing yet sophisticated watch that is the perfect diving instrument for professionals.

The Seafender 48 DEEP DIVE is available in two case variants: a full Titanium construction similar to that of the AC DEEP HULL 48, but with the latest 'Hyper Luminescent' technology in orange, which instead of being painted / pasted on to the hands and markers is actually cut from strips of the luminescent materiel. The second version, which I published a sneak-peek of 'here' in black PVD treated Titanium with an 18ct [5N] Rode Gold bezel. Stay tuned for more soon . . .
From CORUM Created in 1960, the Admiral’s Cup watch by Corum is an authentic icon for all devotees of nautical sports and diving. Its twelve-sided bezel and its nautical pennants have been forging a legend for over 50 years. This emblematic collection is now built around three specific worlds: the Heritage line with its elegant design and classic functions; the sporty and distinguished Competition line suited for wear on all occasion; and finally the sturdy and sophisticated Extreme line designed for adventurers. The latter family now welcomes the new Admiral’s Cup Seafender 48 Deep Dive model, water-resistant to a full 1,000 meters.
The term “diver’s watch” is strictly governed by the corresponding ISO standards. The Admiral’s Cup Seafender 48 Deep Dive meets all these essential criteria: its imposing case in grade 5 titanium, measuring 48 mm in diameter and 18.9 mm thick, is fitted with a screw-down crown and can withstand 100-bar pressure corresponding to a depth of 1,000 meters. This authentic diving instrument is also equipped with a decompression valve placed at 9.30 on the case, just below the inscription “1000M”. This device serves to vent the helium that may build up inside a watch during a prolonged stay in a hyperbaric chamber. Without this valve, the gas would be liable to expand and cause irreversible damage.
Careful monitoring of immersion times is crucial when diving. Thanks to its 120 graduations, the unidirectional rotating bezel of the Admiral’s Cup Seafender 48 Deep Dive is accurate to the nearest half-minute. Moreover, in order to guarantee perfect readability even in the darkness prevailing at great depths, the hands and hour-markers are covered, depending on the version, with either black superluminova or an even more luminescent bi-light orange coating.
This generously sized watch is equipped with a movement to match its ambitions: automatic Caliber CO947 endowed with a 42-hour power reserve and chronometer-certified by the COSC. It displays central hours and minutes, small seconds at 9 o’clock, and the day and date at 3 o’clock.

The Admiral’s Cup Seafender 48 Deep Dive comes in two versions: the first, with its polished and satin-brushed grade 5 titanium case and bezel and its orange hour-markers is available in a 200-piece limited series; while the second, featuring a PVD blackened grade 5 titanium case and 18-carat red gold bezel, is to be issued in an 100-piece limited edition. Both are equipped with a black vulcanized rubber strap fastened by a titanium pin buckle.

a parte il fatto che è immenso e non lo prenderei mai, non lo trovo poi così brutto. Tra tutti, se devo proprio scegliere, prenderei l'ultimo. la scelta però non la devo fare quindi non ne prendo neanche uno...  :)
